History

The southern, the place Wommen facing half of the bridge, was built 1938-1940. Because of World War II were completed in the northern part, only the abutment. Description

The northern half of the bridge was built in 1992 to 1994. The dimensions were taken analogous to the southern half. However, the supporting structure is made ​​of 80 cm thick reinforced concrete arches, on which 25 cm thick reinforced concrete cross slices at a distance of 3.8 m are arranged. The deck has a thickness of 25 cm and is monolithically connected to the transverse slices. The pillars have a hollow cross section of reinforced concrete and steel stairs are inside with fitted. The 14 middle piers are founded on bored piles 1.3 m in diameter and up to 25 m length. The elaborate design and 5000 m² of natural stone facing construction costs were approximately 27.3 million DM, which corresponds to 5742 per square meter bridge surface DM and based on the area was more than twice as expensive as in similar bridges with conventional prestressed concrete bridges.
