World Water Council

The World Water Council (English: "World Water Council ," WWC ) is a company incorporated in 1996, political think tank based in Marseille.

Organization

William J. Cosgrove, former Vice President of the World Bank until 2004, was Director of the World Water Council. He was succeeded on 18 March 2005 Loïc Fauchon, head of the " Groupe des Eaux de Marseille ". Loïc Fauchon was previously an advisor to the President of the WWC and then Vice President of the organization.

Criticism

Critics of the World Water Council expedite the privatization of water supply. One indication of this is the great influence of the water companies in the World Water Council. The Canadian activist Tony Clarke called the World Water Council as a " cloak of water lobby ".
