The Wormke is approximately 6.7 km long left tributary of the Cold Bode in the Harz Mountains.

Course

The Wormke springs north of Schierke above from Jacob break at about 848 m altitude in the Harz National Park and flows first, then towards the east. After the flow has turned to the southeast, he meets the Glashüttenweg the Harz Witches, where almost the entire amount of water is diverted into the Worms digging through a weir. Then carry on the Wormke the tracks on the Brocken Railway, Hagenstraße (L 100) by a causeway and the tracks of the Harzquerbahn. In the vicinity of almond wood, the river eventually empties into the Cold Bode.

In the lower reaches was before the dam breaks on 22 July 1855 Almond wood pond ( Wormketalsperre ).
