Wrigley, Northwest Territories

Wrigley is a place with 122 inhabitants ( Canadian census of 2006) in the Dehcho Region of the Northwest Territories, Canada. It lies on the east bank of the Mackenzie, near the mouth of Wrigley, 853 km north of Yellowknife and 1679 km from Edmonton. The place is connected via the Mackenzie Highway and the airfield with the environment. Wrigley is located 149 meters above sea level

The inhabitants of the city belong mainly to the First Nations. They are represented by the Pehdzeh Ki First Nation, which in turn is part of the organization Dehcho First Nations. The residents continue to lead a traditional life: set traps, hunting, fishing. However, there are also hotels in Wrigley.

The congregation was initially based in the Fort Wrigley, but withdrew in 1965 because of better accessibility. The place is home to an airfield (IATA: YWY; ICAO: CYWY ).
