Wublitz

The Wublitz (from " Voblica " = Slavic for " Havel " or " Small Havel ") is a right tributary of the Havel. It is like a chain of lakes, by the largely silted Wublitzsee at Falkenrehde over pairs, Marquardt and mining around the Great Zernsee, which is drained by the River Havel, joins. With the construction of Sacrow - Paretzer channel ( 1876) by the Wublitz the largest lake in the Wublitzkette Schlänitzsee was called. Between Potsdam- Grube and Leest the Wublitz crosses a dam. In the northern part of the Wublitz goes into the swampy Wublitzrinne, opens up the Havel Canal and partially used.

The Wublitz ( WI) has a length of about eight kilometers and is a so-called other inland waterways of the covenant, for the Water and Shipping Authority Brandenburg is responsible. The average height of the water surface is 29.3 m above sea level. NN. North of the federal highway 10, the Wublitz has become a wetland. The dam of the highway has interrupted the river.
