Wuchuan (吴川 市) is a county -level city in the predominantly Yueh -speaking Chinese province of Guangdong, with an area of 848 km ² and a population of approximately 1.01 million ( end of 2003). At the census in the year 2000 822.482 inhabitants still were counted.

Wuchuan belongs to the administrative area of the prefecture-level city of Zhanjiang. It is the birthplace of the first Ambassador of Imperial China in the United States, Chen Lanbin.
