Wuji (philosophy)

Wuji or Wuji (Chinese无极/无极) is a term used in Chinese philosophy. He is translatable as " Infinite ", " top of nothing" or "non- Highest ." Wuji can be regarded as a description of an undifferentiated state of the universe, which is pure potentiality, not yet contain any distinct objects from each other and at the same time is the source of all objects. So Wuji refers to a formless primordial ground on which everything returns again. Wuji is invisible, unconditional, limitless, featureless and incomprehensible.

Wuji as a ground of

In its undifferentiated absolute non - Highest is also the highest emptiness that was before all being there. The Wu ( nothingness ) is all that exists ( You) as a metaphysical level ahead, because the being has its origin in nothing necessary. Ultimately, everything can be traced back to the Wuji: There arise the five phases of water, fire, wood, metal and earth in the transformation of yin and yang. Yin and Yang are one in Taiji, the Most High. Here Taiji is an undifferentiated structuring principle that characterizes the totality of varied things. The Taiji is the origin of all cosmic manifestations force that emerges from the emptiness of Wuji. Wuji is the Taiji prefixed. Taiji is rooted in Wuji, the summit of nothingness.

He Wuji Taiji

Wuji Taiji he is the unity of thought in the ever- changing diversity, indivisible One in the changing sophistication. The term is returned to the Daodejing and has a central function in Zhou Dunyi systematically. Wuji Taiji he can translate with Wuji " and also " Taiji in terms of a successive movement. The particles 'he' can also be contrastive with " but also" played. From the Gabelentz Wuji translated he Taiji with: " Without principle, this first principle. " This equation follows an interpretation of Zhu Xi, the Wuji and Taiji as two aspects of a Li ( the Absolute as a principle of cosmic order, a universal order structure ) is considered.

The taij has its root in the Wuji and at the same time, the absolute truth of Wuji and the essence of the two archetypes, from the yin and yang unite arise. Wuji Taiji he is the starting point of the universe. It also has an ethical dimension, because it is also the reason for the good in people. The human mind is structured by the rooted in Wuji Taiji. Unity and difference are not only cosmological but also epistemological principles. This correspondence of the human spirit and rem world is a precondition for the highest knowledge:

"If he ( the learner ) on the basis that the structuring principles are already in the knowledge of these extensively exhausted and it goes to the limit ... then one day he suddenly find perfect penetration ... which the overall structure and comprehensive function of the human mind is completely illuminated. "

At the level of the highest knowledge of the person attains the same time access to humanity, sense of duty, ritualism, loyalty and wisdom. In the moral act of the dualism of unity and difference finds its repeal.
