Wulff-Dieter Heintz

Wulff -Dieter Heintz ( born June 3, 1930 in Würzburg, † June 10, 2006 in Swarthmore, Pennsylvania ) was a German astronomer.

Life

Heintz 1953 PhD at the Ludwig- Maximilians- University of Munich and conducted research at the University Observatory at Mount Stromlo in Australia, of which he was director from 1972 until retirement in 1998.

Heintz was a specialist for double stars.

In addition to astronomical writings, he also published literature on the chess game.
