Wyndham Worldwide

Wyndham Worldwide is a holding company from the United States, headquartered in Parsippany, New Jersey, which is listed on the stock index S & P 500. In July 2006, the company was separated from the previous owner Cendant.

At Wyndham Worldwide is among other things the Wyndham Hotel Group, the hotel and resort operates under 17 brands. According to the company Hotel Group owns about 7300 hotels with over half a million rooms, making it one of the largest hotel chains in the world. With Wyndham Exchange & Rentals Wyndham Worldwide is also active in the holiday home. This includes e.g. Novasol.

At Wyndham Worldwide, Wyndham Vacation Ownership also belongs. This operates around 180 so-called timeshare properties - a concept that is controversial in Germany.

On 1 March 2012, Wyndham Hotel Group has the second largest hotel management company in Germany Grand City Hotels entered into a strategic partnership over the rebranding of 43 hotels with over 5,400 rooms.

2008 Wyndham Worldwide announced that it would acquire the two brands Microtel Inn & Suites and Hawthorn from the Hyatt Corporation for 150 million U.S. dollars. The hotel brand AmeriHost Inn has been discontinued and renamed the hotel Baymont Inn & Suites., 2010, Wyndham Worldwide, announced their intention to buy the hotel brand Tryp Hotels with about 90 Sol Meliá Hotels & Resorts. This will continue to be operated by this chain. 2012 agree Wyndham Worldwide and Grand City Hotels a strategic partnership, 43 hotels were renamed trademarks of Wyndham Hotel Group.
