Xi Aquilae

ξ Aquilae (Xi Aquilae, short ξ Aql ) is about 200 light years distant giant star of spectral type G9 in the constellation Aquila. He has a companion with the systematic name ξ Aquilae b, in which there could be an exoplanet.

Companion

ξ Aquilae b ( Xi Aquilae b ) is an exoplanet candidate. It orbits the central star with an orbital period of 137 days with a semi-major axis of about 0.7 astronomical units and has a mass of about 3 Jupiter masses. The companion was Bunei of Sato et al. discovered.
