Yamaha Music Foundation

The Yamaha Music Foundation (Japanese一般 財団 法人 ヤマハ音楽振興会, zaidan - Hojin yamaha ongaku Shinkokai, dt "Yamaha Music Foundation Promotion ") is a Japanese founded in 1966, foundation headquartered in Meguro, Tokyo for the purpose of promoting and popularizing of music from the instrument maker Yamaha KK was founded.

1954 Yamaha began a program for music classes, in 1959 it became the " Yamaha Music School " (ヤマハ 音楽 教室, Yamaha ongaku kyōshitsu, Eng. Yamaha Music School). In 1966, the Foundation was set up in the following years further music schools were opened overseas.
