Yang Kaihui

Yang Kaihui (Chinese杨开慧/杨开慧nickname: Chinese云 锦, Pinyin Yúnjǐn ) (* 1901, † November 14, 1930 ) was from 1920 to 1927, the second wife of Mao Zedong.

Yang Kaihui came from the village Bancang in Hunan Province and was the daughter of Yang Changji, the rector of the First College of Education of Hunan Province. Yang Changji was one of Mao's favorite teacher during his student days in Changsha.

Yang Kaihui joined in 1921 the Communist Party of China and was executed in 1930 by the Kuomintang.
