The Yeşilırmak (literally "Green River " ) is a river in Turkey. The Hittite name is probably Zulija, the ancient Greek name is Ίρις (Iris ). The Yeşilırmak 418 km long, rises in the province of Sivas and flows north through the provinces of Tokat, Amasya Samsun, where it flows in Çarşamba Delta into the Black Sea.
In Samsun Çarşamba and he is dammed in the Hasan Uğurlu dam to generate electricity.
