Yitzhak Coren

Koren, Yitzhak (Hebrew יצחק קורן, born March 11, 1911 in Chisinau, † 22 June 1994) was an Israeli politician.

Trained as a lawyer, he emigrated on 1 May 1940 to Palestine, where he became a member of the Haganah. From 1941 to 1943 he was Director of the Department of Information and Organization at Histadruts care center, then he was secretary of the moshav movement from 1944 until 1961. 1949 he was among the founders "From refugee camp to the village of " settlement project.

From 1959 he was Member of the Knesset of Mapai and HaMa'arach. After he was confirmed in his mandate in the 1961 elections, he was appointed on May 30, 1962 Deputy Finance Minister. He held that post until June 26, 1963.

His son Dani Koren was the Avodah Knesset in 2006, while his daughter Ruth Koren is married to the politician Moshe Nissim, the various ministerial posts held in the 1980s and early 1990s.
