Moshe Nissim

Moshe ( Moshe ) Nissim ( born April 10, 1935 in Jerusalem) is an Israeli politician and a former minister.

Life

After school he studied law at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, where he graduated with a Master of Law. After his military service as a prosecutor, he worked as a lawyer.

His political career began on November 30, 1959, when he was first elected as deputies of the Knesset, where he first represented the interests of the Peretz Bernstein newly formed Liberal Party ( Miflaga Liberalit Jisraelit ) to 4 September 1961. In the elections of 17 November 1969 he was re-elected MPs and belonged to the Knesset until 17 June 1996. First, he was the representative of Herut and then Likud, whose party leader, he was also from January 1974 to June 1977.

On 10 January 1978 he was appointed by Prime Minister Menachem Begin as Minister without portfolio for the first time into the cabinet. In this office he was also a member of a delegation to advise the Palestinian Authority and relevant discussions with Egypt and the United States. He was then Minister of Justice on 13 August 1980 and sat down beside it for a prosecution of Nazi war crimes a. He held this office in the subsequent governments of Yitzhak Shamir and Shimon Peres to 16 April 1986 he was appointed Minister of Finance.
