Yiyuan County

Yiyuan county (沂源县) is a county in Shandong province, China. He belongs to the administrative area of the prefecture-level city of Zibo. Yiyuan has an area of ​​1637 km ² and has 550,000 inhabitants. Its main town is the large village Nanma (南 麻 镇).

The site of Homo erectus of Yiyuan ( Yiyuan Yuanren Yizhi沂源 猿人 遗址) is since 2006 on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China ( 6-104 ).
