Zibo

Zibo (淄博 市) is a prefecture -level city in the Chinese province of Shandong. The administrative area of Zibo has an area of ​​5938 km ² and approximately 4.12 million inhabitants ( end of 2003). The population density is just under 694 inhabitants / km ². Zibo is located on the Yellow River to 37 ° 13 ' N.Br. and 118 ° 04 ' ö.L.

History

Zibo City was created in 1949 by merging the cities and Zichuan BOSHAN whose names were merged to Zibo. In 1954 the city was expanded by Zhangdian in the north and the administrative center was relocated there.

Linzi was at the time of the Spring and Autumn Annals and the time of the Warring States Period, from 384 BC to 221 BC, the capital of the State of Qi (齐; pinyin: qi).

The area of the former City Zichuan was the home of the poet Pu Songling (1640-1715), who became famous primarily for his eerie stories from Liao Zhai ( Liao Zhai Zhi Yi ).

Economy
