Yıldız Tilbe

Yıldız Tilbe (* July 16, 1966 in Konak, İzmir Province) is a Turkish singer of Kurdish origin.

Life

Yıldız was born as the youngest of six siblings in a poor district of Izmir. Her father Ali comes from the province of Ağrı, her mother Altun from the province of Tunceli. In 1985, she broke off the high school and got married. From this marriage she had a daughter named Sezen. After she separated from her husband, she initially worked as a shop assistant in various boutiques, then as a babysitter and the way she helped at the grocery store their parents. In 1990, she first begins at weddings, later to sing in nightclubs. In 1991, she was discovered by Sezen Aksu and draws on their invitation to Istanbul. She works at the request Sezen Aksu for nine months as their backup singer and then 3-4 years in the best night clubs of Istanbul.

Breakthrough

In Istanbul Yıldız Tilbe establishes contacts and creates 1994 with the piece Delikanlım their eponymous first album to enter into the music business. This was followed by her second album Dillere Destan. In the following years, their drug addiction is discussed in the media.

Comeback

2002 creates Tilbe after about 8 years making a comeback. The album " haberi olsun " is voted one of the best albums of the year. My 7th album " Yürü anca gidersin " is their most successful album to date. It is chosen in Turkey at the best album of the year, the song " çabuk olalım aşkım " the best song and she herself the best female pop singer ( Kral TV video müzik ÖDÜLLERI ). Yıldız Tilbe also writes lyrics for other artists, such as Bengü, Tarkan and Deniz Seki.
