Yoichi Miyazawa

Yōichi Miyazawa (Japanese宫 泽 洋 一, Miyazawa Yōichi; born April 24, 1950 in Fukuyama, Hiroshima Prefecture) is a Japanese politician of the Liberal Democratic Party ( LDP) and Abgeordner in Sangiin for Hiroshima. In the LDP, he belongs to the Koga faction.

Miyazawa graduated in 1974 from his studies in law at the University of Tokyo and officer was then in the Ministry of Finance. From 1976 he studied at Harvard University, where he earned an MPA. He was Chief Secretary to the Prime Minister, his uncle Kiichi Miyazawa 1992. In 1993 he ended his official career.

In January 1994, Miyazawa was political secretary to his uncle. When he gave up his constituency for the Shūgiin, 7 constituency Hiroshima in 2000 and moved to the proportional voting block, he went to his successors. The constituency won Miyazawa clearly against the Democrats Toshimasa Yamada and pulled for the first of three legislative periods into a Shūgiin. He was also a member of the Foreign Affairs and of Social Affairs and Health Committee. In the reshuffled Cabinet Fukuda 2008 he was Secretary of State ( fuku - daijin, " Deputy Minister " ) in the Cabinet Office. In the 2009 election Shūgiin he missed the re-election against Takashi Wada.

In the 2010 election Sangiin Miyazawa was a candidate in his home prefecture of Hiroshima, received over half a million votes and is therefore elected for six years as deputy Sangiin.

Family

Miyazawas father Hiroshi was LDP deputy in Sangiin Hiroshima, Minister of Justice and Governor of Hiroshima, his uncle Kiichi LDP deputy in Shūgiin, party leader and prime minister and his grandfather Yutaka Shūgiin MP and Secretary of State in the Ministry of Railways. His cousin Hiroo is married to a granddaughter of Bridgestone founder Ishibashi, is related through the Miyazawa also with the families of Premimierminister Hatoyama and Ikeda, thus with the current deputies Yukio Hatoyama, Kunio Hatoyama and Minoru Terada. Miyazawas maternal grandfather was the Shūgiin MPs Masaki Kishida, whose grandson Fumio LDP Shūgiin MP 's and cabinet minister Fukuda was.
