Yolanda Toussieng
Yolanda Toussieng (* 1949) is an American make-up artist, who won the Oscar for Best Make -up twice.
Biography
Yolanda Toussieng began in 1982 as a makeup artist in on the film Private Benjamin (1980 ) based television series of the same name and was previously involved in more than 50 film and television productions.
In 1986 she was awarded with the hairstylist Shirley Crawford her first nomination for an Emmy and indeed for excellence in hair styling in the first episode of the second season of the American Broadcasting Company (ABC ) television series produced North and South (1986). In 1989 she won with Jerry Masone a Daytime Emmy Award for outstanding achievement in hairstyling for the episode " To Tell The Tooth " produced by the Columbia Broadcasting System ( CBS) series Pee- wee's Playhouse (1986).
For the make-up in Mrs. Doubtfire - The prickly Nanny ( 1993) she won in 1994 with Greg Cannom and Ve Neill her first Oscar for best makeup and also received with them a nomination for the British Academy Film Awards ( BAFTA Award ) for the best mask in 1995. Besides a second Oscar at the Academy Awards in 1995 for the best make -up in Ed Wood ( 1994), which she won along with Rick Baker and Ve Neill, she got with these also turn in 1996 a nomination for the BAFTA Award for best mask.
In 1996 she was also nominated for the Saturn Award for Best Make-up and while again with Rick Baker and Ve Neil for Batman Forever ( 1995). For the make-up in Master & Commander - The Far Side of the World ( 2003) she was nominated for the Academy Awards 2004 together with Edouard F. Henriques for another Oscar, and received for this film also starring Kim Santantonio and Barbara Lorenz another nomination Hollywood Makeup Artist and Hair stylist Guild for the best hairstyling.
At the Academy Awards 2011, she was finally once again nominated for an Oscar: Edouard F. Henriques time with Greg and radio for the makeup in The Way Back (2010).
Other well-known films in which she collaborated as a makeup artist, were Edward Scissorhands (1990 ), The Rock - Rocky (1996 ), Armageddon - The Last Judgement (1998) and Pearl Harbor ( 2001).
