Yortanlı Dam

The Yortanli Dam is a dam in western Turkey.

The Yortanli dam is 52.5 meters high and 710 meters long. He is part of a larger water supply system. With the dam, 70 square kilometers of arable land is irrigated. The project of the Turkish State Hydraulic Engineering dates back to 1993. 2005 to be held the first flooding, but was first placed. Meanwhile, the reservoir is filled since December 2010. When impounding of the reservoir the ancient site Allianoi was flooded, an archaeological site, from the so far only 20 percent were digging.
