Yoshinori Sunahara

Yoshinori Sunahara (Japanese砂 原 良 徳, Sunahara Yoshinori; * September 13, 1969 in Sapporo, Hokkaidō, Japan) is a Japanese DJ and producer, known in the Shibuya -kei scene and chill out. His style is characterized from a mix of funk, bossa nova, Shibuya - kei, and 1970s music. In 1995, he released his first solo album Crossover. The albums will be distributed in Europe by the German label Bungalow Records.

He loves airplanes; many of his albums have to do with the topic Flying Aircraft Airport. Take Off and Landing from 1998 is about a subterranean airport, the Tokyo Underground Airport. In his album Pan Am - The Sound of '70s from 1998 it comes to his favorite airline Pan Am; while he is inspired by the background music and advertising music of the airline from the 70s.

Yoshinori Sunahara was part of the successful three-member Japanese pop techno band Denki Groove, which, in contrast to his solo project, produced faster music since 1989.
