Yota

Yota (Russian Йота ) is a Russian Internet service provider, the unlimited mobile broadband Internet access allows. In June 2009, Yota was the first provider a the 4G technology of WiMAX, and in September 2010, the faster LTE Long Term Evolution technology in Russia.

Brand name, logo and ownership

The brand name Yota refers to the Greek letter iota for internet. The logo shows a person doing a handstand and is meant to symbolize that Yota considered familiar things from a different angle.

Yota is a trademark of the Russian company Scartel, its executive director since 2008 Sergei Adonjew. The company's headquarters is located in Saint Petersburg.

History

In June 2009, Yota came as the new provider for mobile broadband internet access to the Russian market.
