You Xie

You Xie (友 谢Chinese, Pinyin Yǒu Xie, actually谢盛友Chinese, Pinyin Xie Shèngyǒu ) ( born October 1, 1958 in Hainan ) is a German journalist and writer of Chinese descent.

Life

As You Xie was born, there was famine in China. He grew up during the Cultural Revolution, and therefore could not go to school, but had to work on the land. From 1979 to 1983 he studied German and English at the Sun Yat -sen University in Guangzhou. After graduation (BA ), he worked as an interpreter at VW in Shanghai.

In 1988, he came to study at the Otto - Friedrich University of Bamberg and studied German, Journalism and European Ethnology. In 1993, he graduated through the press policy of the Communist Party of China. From 1993 to 1996 he studied law at the Friedrich- Alexander -University Erlangen -Nuremberg.

At the time of the Tiananmen Square massacre, he was National Chairman of "eV Association of Chinese Students and Scholars in Germany " In 1999 he founded the Chinese-language journal European Chinese News, which in 2011 ceased their appearance. Xie since 2006 editor of the European edition of the Christian Magazine " Overseas Campus". 2010 came Xie in the selection of the Top 100 Chinese Public Intellectuals. On April 20, 2013, the members of the Bamberg CSU Xie voted in the District Executive. He received 141 of 220 votes. He achieved the best result of all county election board members .. On July 26, 2013 You Xie was chosen by the CSU General Assembly with 97 of 110 votes on the candidate list for the 2014 city council election for 29th place. Xie is vice president of the Association of Chinese Language Writers in Europe and lives with his wife Xie - Zhang Shenhua in Bamberg, where he operates a China - snack. Since 2010, he has the German nationality.

Xie is a descendant of Xie An (谢 安Chinese, Pinyin Xie Ān, 320-385 ), Duke Wenjing of Luling during the Jin Dynasty in 56th generation. His great-aunt was Xie Fei (谢 飞Chinese, Pinyin Xie Fei, 1913-2013 ) from Wenchang, Hainan Province. Xie Fei took part in 1934 in the Long March and was the third wife of Liu Shaoqi, the President of the People's Republic of China from 1959 until 1968.
