Young Chang Akki Co. Ltd.. (Young Chang musical instruments) is a Korean manufacturer of pianos.

History

Young Chang was founded in 1956, shortly after the Korean War, Incheon (Seoul, Korea) by three brothers as a piano store. To avoid the high import duties on luxury goods, a cooperation agreement was reached with the company Yamaha Corporation. Pianos have been broken down into individual parts and the parts imported as commercial goods. The parts were then assembled in Korea again pianos.

The tremendous demand for pianos led to the establishment of its own piano production with the help of Yamaha. 1967 was the first pianos are manufactured.
