Young Deenay

Fatima Napo aka Young Deenay ( born January 14, 1979 in Bandiagara, Mali ) is a former German rapper.

Life

Fatima Napo visited the Graf- Gottfried -Gymnasium (now the Franz Stock Gymnasium) in Arnsberg. She studied psychology at the Johann -Wolfgang- Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main and is now working as a psychologist, among others in Berlin.

Her biggest success was the single Walk On By (1997), with which she was able to keep 14 weeks in the charts and climbed up there in fifth place.

On her single Wannabe Your Lover (1998) she helped her former backing singer Sasha to his career. When Sasha's first hit I'm Still Waitin ' roles were already trading with Young Deenay supported the song only by short performances. Another success was for Young Deenay. Today she sings in the band La Dogon Amma.

In June 2008, VDM Verlag Fatima Napo published first book, An African Perspective of psychology, in the Napo history of science shows why Western psychology is inadequate to understand the behavior and experience of people of African descent and explain.
