Young Pirates of Europe

Young Pirates of Europe ( YPE ) ( German: Young pirate Europe ) is the European association of ten of the Pirate Party of parties closely youth associations. In German-speaking German boy pirates, pirate boy Luxembourg and boy pirate * inside Austria are members of associations.

The Association is a founding member and Youth of the European Pirate Party. It was founded in August 2013 and is located in Uppsala. The association is headed by one to seven -member board.

Outline / organs

YPE is divided into two bodies: the Council (European Pirates Instituted Council, EPIC) and Executive Board (Board).

The Council (European Pirates Instituted Council, EPIC) is the highest body of YPE. This meets annually between May 1 and September 30. An extraordinary meeting (EPIC FAIL) may be requested by the Board or one-third of the members. EPIC elects the board and up to two auditors. In addition to the approval of the financial statements of the previous year and the budget for the coming year, may be decided on the discharge of the Board and the auditors. The Council also decides on the applications submitted by a member or the Executive Board. The voters of the Council shall consist of up to two delegates of the member organizations.

The Board consists of the Chairman, a Treasurer, a Secretary and up to four other members. The members of the Board may not be older than 29 years at the beginning of their term of office.

The Chairman represents the pirate boy Europe in the public and provides regular meetings of the Board secure.

The Treasurer is responsible for the budget and the accounts of the organization. For this purpose, it shall semi-annually to the members a report and reviewed the finances of the member associations.

The Secretary-General represents the organization towards its member organizations. To this end, he informed the Board decisions and organize the meetings of EPIC.
