You are my heart is an aria from the second act of 1929, first performed operetta " The Land of Smiles " by Fritz Löhner- Beda and Ludwig Herzer with music by Franz Lehár.
Composition
The song is in D major and is according to the scheme introduction -chorus- verse-chorus built. The three-bar, onset with a diminished seventh chord fortissimo prelude immediately creates a dramatic mood.
