The Yoyogi Park (Japanese代 々 木 公园, Yoyogi kōen ) is a large public park in the district of Shibuya in Tokyo.

History

The area of ​​Yoyogi park is part of a larger site, which then was in the Bakufu first time in the possession of the daimyo Katō Kiyomasa as by site owned by the Ii clan. After the Meiji Restoration, it fell to the state, which used it as a training ground for the military. The northeast part was then used for the establishment of the Meiji Shrine.
