Yuen Woo-Ping
Yuen Woo- Ping Chinese袁 和平, Pinyin Yuán Heping (* 1945 in Guangzhou, China) is a Chinese martial arts choreographer and film director. He is considered one of the best known and most influential figures in Hong Kong cinema.
Life
His first film Snake in the Eagle 's Shadow, he turned in 1978, along with Jackie Chan in the lead role. Right after both turned together They called him Bonecrusher in which the father of Yuen Woo- Ping, Yuen Siu Tien, held the second lead role. Both films were great successes and made Jackie Chan Movie Star and helped the genre from its niche in the major production studios. The trend of kung fu comedy was founded and continues to this day. With his father he turned later more films, including Drunken Master, together.
In 1994, the Wachowski brothers were aware of him and hired him as a choreographer of the fight scenes in the film matrix. The success of this film, which was also based on his work was continued with Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon in the following year and made him a sought-after address in Hollywood.
