Yuji Katsuro

Yuji Katsuro (Japanese胜 吕 裕 司, Katsuro Yuji, born October 7, 1949) is a former Japanese skiers who was active in ski jumping and Nordic combined.

Career

His international debut as Katsuro Nordic combined at the Winter Olympics 1972 in Sapporo. In individual he just missed a medal and finished fifth. A year later, Katsuro temporarily changed to special jumping and launched for the first time internationally at the Four Hills Tournament 1973/74. However, he played in the Tournament only the New Year's on the Grand Olympic ski jump in Garmisch -Partenkirchen. With a ranking of 59, he missed the jump on a front seat and thus reached only ranked 97 overall. In the following Four Hills Tournament 1974/75 he started again not all jumping. After he left out the competition in Oberstdorf, he started in Garmisch -Partenkirchen, reaching number 26 on the Bergiselschanze in Innsbruck, he reached number 38, before ending the tour in 27th place on the Paul Ausserleitner hill in Bischofshofen. In the overall standings with 585.9 points, it was enough just to place 62

At the Olympic Winter Games 1976 in Innsbruck Katsuro started again in the combination. In individual he reached it the 21th Place.
