Yunling Mountains

Yun Ling (Chinese云岭/云岭, Pinyin Yun Lǐng, also Yunling or Yunling Mountains ), also called Xue Shan (雪山, Xueshan ) or Xue Ling (Chinese雪岭/雪岭, Pinyin Xuělǐng ), is a mountain range in northwest, southwest China's Yunnan Province. It is a part of the Hengduan mountain range, running from south to north. To the north it borders on the mountains Ningjing Shan, on the south by the mountains of Shan and Ailao Shan Wuliang. It forms the watershed between the rivers Lancang Jiang ( Mekong ) and Jinsha Jiang ( Yangtze River ). It is often 4000 m above sea level and its mountains are covered with snow in the winter. Main peak is the Yulong Shan ( " Jade Dragon Snow Mountain ", 5596 m ) in the northwest of the Yulong Naxi Autonomous Okrug. The mountain range is located as part of the Three Parallel Rivers Natural Reserve, the Yunlin Nature Reserve, which is on the UNESCO list.
