Yuri Ozerov (director)

Yuri Ozerov Nikolayevich ( born January 26, 1921 in Moscow, † October 16, 2001 ) was a Russian film director.

In 1944 he graduated from the Frunze Military Academy and participated in the Battle of Berlin in part as a major and battalion commander. From 1947 to 1951 he studied directing at the Moscow Film WGIK. His first film in Nikitsker Botanic Garden appeared in 1953. Oserow in 1965 awarded the title of Honored Artist of the Russian Soviet Federative Republic. He was awarded the Lenin Prize and the Order of Friendship of Nations in Gold Star of the GDR.
