Yuriy Prokhorenko

Yuri Prokhorenko (Ukrainian Юрій Прохоренко, English transcription Yuriy Prokhorenko, . Born March 9, 1951 in Kirovohrad ) is a retired Ukrainian pole vaulter who competed for the Soviet Union.

In the Indoor Athletics Championships in 1975, he finished sixth.

In 1976 he won at the European Indoor Championships in Munich and was tenth in the Olympic Games in Montreal.

In 1978 he was fourth at the European Indoor Championships in Milan, in 1980, he retired at the Olympic Games in Moscow without a valid attempt.

1976 and 1979 he was a Soviet hall manager.
