Yves Charnay

Yves Charnay ( born January 25, 1942 in Saint- Chamond ) is a French light and object artist, painter, filmmaker and author.

Artistic work

In the late 1980s explored Charnay the materiality and structure of color depending on its temperature, light, or crystalline structure. More recently, he is primarily concerned with light artworks and perspective Installationen.Einige his art works are also in Germany to consider, such as " Les couleur de l' esprit " in the state parliament of Saxony -Anhalt or the spatial anamorphosis of Brake Castle in Lemgo, created in cooperation with Claude Prévost. Besides his work as light and object artist, he shall in addition to as a painter, curator of international exhibitions, film writer and artistic consultant for cinema and television.

Charnay was a professor at the École nationale supérieure des arts Décoratifs de Paris ( ENSAD ).
