Yvonne Bönisch

Yvonne Boenisch ( born December 29, 1980 in Ludwigsfelde, Zossen circle ) is the most successful German judoka and present a Judo instructor. It bears the 6th Dan.

It began with the judo sport in 1987 at the JV Ludwigsfelde, 1993, she joined the University Judo and Martial Arts Club ( UJKC ) in Potsdam. The year 1995 marked the beginning of her success, she then became first at the German Championships U19. 1999 and 2002 she became German champion in their weight class. In 2002 she was second at the European Championships, and in 2003 she won at the World Championships in Osaka the silver medal. At that time they had to give up in the final against the North Korean Kye Sun -hui because of an injury of the elbow.

At the 2004 Olympics in Athens, she triumphed after heavy preliminaries ( including against Isabel Fernández ( Spain), Olympic gold medalist from Sydney 2000 and in the semifinal against Deborah Grave Stijn (Netherlands), World bronze medalist in 2003 ) in the final of the weight category up to 57 kg over the reigning world champion Kye Sun -hui (North Korea ) and thus won the first gold medal of the German team at these Olympics and the first gold medal of the German women in Judo in the Olympics at all.

The Judo 2005 World Championships in Cairo, she won the silver medal after they met again in the final on Kye Sun -hui and defeated this time to 38 seconds. At the European Championships in 2007 Yvonne Boenisch won silver; they lost the final with 2 coca against Isabel Fernández.

On 15 April 2008 it announced that it will boycott the opening ceremony of the Beijing Olympics because of the continuing human rights violations in Tibet, China. In competition, they lost the first fight against the future Olympic champion Giulia Quintavalle (Italy ) in its attack, in the consolation round she managed a win against the Asian champion Chischigbatyn Erdenet - Od (Mongolia), before losing to Barbara Harel ( France), in the preliminaries had already turned world champion Kye. Boenisch finished at the end of the ninth.

On September 11, 2009, she announced to terminate with immediate effect their athletes career.

21 February 2010, she was awarded as part of the Judo Grand Prix in Dusseldorf 6th Dan. This makes it the most recent 6 - Dan - bearer of all time.

From April 2009 to 2012 Boenisch studied at the Cologne Academy coach. The three-year in-service training, she completed, in April 2012, with the completion of graduate trainer DOSB successfully.

Since 2009 she works at UJKC Potsdam as a trainer, since 2012 full-time head coach. Since 1 January 2013, she is also country coach Brandenburg.

In October 2013, it successfully completed her undergraduate study Sport Management at the FH Potsdam ESAB.
