Zabulistan

Zabulistan (Persian زابلستان ) is the name of a historical region in Central Asia, in the border area of the present states of Iran and Afghanistan, between the towns Farah (Afghanistan) and Zahedan (Iran). The name to include in antiquity probably a much larger area, as well as a province of Afghanistan ( on the border with Pakistan) at the foot of the Hindu Kush is called Zabul.

The Persian mythology, Zabulistan was the birthplace of Iranian folk hero Rostam.
