Zaghloul El-Naggar

Zaghloul Ragheb Mohamed El- Naggar (Arabic زغلول راغب محمد نجار Zaghlul Raghib Muhammad Najjār; ​​born 1933 in al - Gharbiyya, Egypt) is an Egyptian scientist, Islamic scholar and author. One of his work focuses on questions form the scientific miracles in the Quran character and the Sunnah.

He studied geology at the University of Cairo and received his PhD in Geology from the University of Wales. He is Professor of Earth Sciences and teaches at King Abd -al- Aziz University ( King Abdulaziz University) in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. He is a Fellow of the Islamic Academy of Sciences in Amman, Jordan. He is Chairman of the International Commission of the Scientific Miracles in the Quran character and in the Sunnah ( الهيئة العالمية للإعجاز العلمي في القرآن والسنة / Eng. Committee on Scientific Facts in the Glorious Qur'an / etc. ) in the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs ( المجلس الأعلى للشؤون الإسلامية / Majlis al-' Ala li al - Shu'un al - Islamiyya ) of the Arab Republic of Egypt, based in Cairo.

He was one of the 138 signatories of the open letter A Common Word between Us and You (English A Common Word Between Us and You), the personalities of Islam to "leaders of Christian churches everywhere" (English " Leaders of Christian Churches, everywhere ... " ) submitted (13 October 2007).

In 2009 he was listed in the list of 500 most influential Muslims of the Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal Center for Muslim- Christian Understanding at Georgetown University and the Royal Islamic Strategic Studies Centre of Jordan.

He is married to Arwa Shehada Elanani.
