Zain

The Zain Group (formerly MTC or Mobile Telecommunications Company; زين Arabic, Zain DMG ) is a 1983 in Kuwait was established under the name of MTC mobile operators and is currently in the Middle East and Africa (Sub - Sahara) active. In September 2007 the company was renamed to its present name Zain. Zain was active in 24 states, but sold the network in 15 countries of sub-Saharan Africa to the Indian company Bharti Airtel and operates itself or networks in nine countries.

With over 15,000 employees Zain had 2008 revenue of 7.44 billion U.S. dollars.
