Zalaháshágy

Zalaháshágy [ zɒlɒha ʃha ː ː ɟ ] is a municipality with 381 inhabitants ( as of 2011) in Zala county in Hungary. Neighboring municipalities are Zalaszentgyörgy, Keménfa, Zalalövő, Vaspör, Vaspör - Velencei, KAVAS, Szőce and Csöde.

History

The municipality is located Zalaháshágy from the county town Zalaegerszeg 25 km away to the northwest, between the areas of the rivers Raab and Zala on the border of Komiate Vas and Zala counties. Was built in the village on the southwestern slope of the Kemeneshát Mountains.

The lands once ruled the first Háshágyi family, then the family Nádasdy and finally the family Bessenyei (annual data unknown). The only significant estate Sibrik Major was divided in 1945 after the collectivization of agriculture.
