Zdenko Kobeščak

Zdenko Kobeščak ( born December 3, 1943 in Zagreb, Independent State of Croatia ) is a former Yugoslav football player at the position of midfielder. He was also a short time coach of the Croatian traditional clubs Dinamo Zagreb.

Career

Kobeščak played football as a child in a meadow near his parents' house. At the age of 14 he came to Dinamo Zagreb, where he came first in the youth teams to use. His career as a professional football player at Dinamo Zagreb, he began in 1962. After 86 missions, 16 goals, and he left great successes in 1967 Dinamo to switch to Slovenia for NK Maribor. The Slovenes he ran in 74 games and scored seven goals. In 1970 he left the club to transfer only a year later in 1971 to France Stade Rennes. In French history, the club from Brittany he stayed not long, by 1972 he again joined the club and signed a contract with ÉDS Montlucon.

Internationally

Kobeščak came from 1963 to 1964 two appearances for the Yugoslav national football team, but scoring no goals. His debut in the national team he was on 27 October 1963 in Bucharest in the match against the national team of Romania, the Romanians could barely decide 2-1 for itself. Kobešćaks second mission was on 22 November 1964 in Belgrade in the 1-1 draw against the national team of the USSR.

Coach stations

In 1985 Kobeščak took over the coach of his former club Dinamo Zagreb, which he gave to Miroslav Blažević in 1986.
