Zeitschrift für celtische Philologie

The Journal of Philology celtische ( ZCP ) is a German linguistic Series. It is the oldest legal journal devoted exclusively to the topic of Celtic Studies.

History

The magazine was founded in 1896 by Kuno Meyer and Ludwig Christian Stern. Other editors were among others Julius Pokorny and Rudolf Thurneysen. By 2010, 57 volumes have been published. Deviating from the regular title the volumes bear 22 (1941 ) and 23 (1942 /43) the title: Journal of Celtic philology and folk research. Then it came due to the war to an interruption of the editors of 1944 until 1952. A total of contents of all issues can be seen. The magazine is primarily aimed at scientists whose research area concerns the Celtic languages ​​or Celtic culture in any way, and the topic Celtic Studies interested laymen. Content

Issues of the magazine are Celtic languages ​​and history and politics of their speakers.
