Zhao Wei

Zhao Wei (Chinese赵薇/赵薇, Pinyin Zhao Wei, born March 12, 1976 in Wuhu, Anhui, People's Republic of China) is a Chinese actress and singer.

Life

Zhao Wei is the most popular actress in China at the beginning of the 21st century. Zhao reached international fame with roles in Nothing is as it seems and Shaolin Soccer. In 2003, she starred in Warriors of Heaven and Earth and Green Tea. In 2008, she played the role of the living princess Sun Shang Xiang in John Woo's Red Cliff.

On August 6, 2009 Zhao Wei Film Performance Art Academy was elected Vice President of the Chinese Chinese.
