Zhu Jianhua

Zhu Jianhua (Chinese朱建华, Pinyin Zhū Jianhua; * May 29, 1963 ) is a former Chinese Hochsprungweltrekordler.

Zhu's first international success was his victory at the Asian Championship in 1981, when he surpassed the previous record by 15 centimeters Asia. In the Asian Games of 1982 and 1986, he again won by a large margin.

His first world record in the high jump with 2.37 meters he presented on June 11, 1983 in Beijing on. This was followed by improvements on an inch at the International High Jump Meeting in Eberstadt and Shanghai. His world record was surpassed only on August 11, 1985 by Rudolf Powarnizyn.

At the first World Athletics Championships 1983 in Helsinki and at the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles, he won as the reigning world record holder bronze medals.
