Zingraff

Life and work
Teaching and study years
Hans -Dieter Zingraff was born in 1947 as the son of an electrotechnical revision operator in Karlsruhe and should become an engineer after his parents' wishes. Zingraff but showed an early interest in artistic activities. Here, his interest in trompe -l'oeil, the amazement manifested by optical illusion thanks to painted illusion of space.
Spain
In 1972 he moved to Denia, Alicante Province, Spain. In the first Spain - years, a large number of surrealist, socially critical works, partly to Dada collages was reminiscent. Realistically painted cutouts emphasized a purely abstract color, a principle which he refined in his later architecture still life in collage mixed media. 1984 made the first time glued chipboard and wood strips the images reliefs, while, conversely, seemingly glued photograph pieces were actually painted.
The 1980s
Between 1983 and 1985 succeeded Zingraff a crucial step in the current Spanish art scene. Although he was a complete novice there, the jury of the 50th Autumn Salon (Salon de Otoño, Asociación Española de Pintores y Escultores ) in Madrid in 1983 decided to allow an image Zingraffs. The mid-1980s felt Zingraff of his until then quite clearly socially critical messages increasingly concentrated. After a period of softer lines and shapes, he returned to the line.
Zingraffs Constructivism
Until about 1996 themed Zingraff cancel out space continuum and visual ambiguity radically abstract. A crucial step in his stylistic development, the artist succeeded in 1999. As a corollary, he now brought his compositions actually from the surface and eventually out of the conventional image format. Depth, volume and lighting have since no or is no longer just painted illusions, but a tangible reality. Parts of the image become independent. Wall and space are included in the works, mounted on the rear lamps provide real light and real shadow. Despite his many exhibitions Zingraff continuously creates new works. In recent years, his works including New York, Lima ( Peru), Madrid, Berlin, Karlsruhe and Cairo were seen.
