Zippererstraße (Vienna U-Bahn)

The station Zippererstraße the Vienna U -Bahn line U3 is in the 11th district of Vienna Simmering. It was passed with the opening of the last section of the U3 on 2 December 2000 its determination. It is named after the 1904 George Zipperer, a landowner in Simmering from the mid-19th century named street.

The station extends between the Hyblerpark and Simmering main road and has a central platform, which is applied in two separate tubes. Two cross- passages connecting the two direction platforms. An output leads to the Simmering main road where there is a possibility on the tram line 71 towards Schwarzenberg place respectively Kaiserebersdorf to transfer. The second station building is located at the edge of Hyblerparks and, due to the steep slope at this point about access in two different level layers. The upper entrance leads to Eisteichstraße, the bottom directly into the Hyblerpark.

Both outputs are equipped with elevators. The leading to Simmering main street escalator is 53 meters, the longest in the Vienna U- Bahn network.
