Zlín Z 37

The Let Z -37 Čmelák ( German Hummel ) is a Czech multipurpose aircraft, the LET designed as an agricultural plane in the early 1960s. It also served as a tow plane, but as a coach, transportation, aerial, fire and observation aircraft.

History

As of 1976 trials were run to a version with PTL engine. On September 6, first time in 1981 flew a prototype XZ - 37T with propeller turbine (Walter M601B with 515 kW/691 PS - waves ). Production was resumed in 1983 at Moravan under the name Z- 37T Agro Turbo. This series models received the Turbopropmotor Motorlet 601Z and were delivered from 1985. 42 units were built.

Today, only a few flight -ready machines of this type exist and are mostly in private hands.
