Zola Maseko

Zola Maseko ( * 1967 in Swaziland) is a South African filmmaker.

Life

Maseko was born to South African parents in exile in Swaziland. There and in Tanzania, he received his school education.

In 1987, he joined Umkhonto we Sizwe, the armed wing of the ANC, at. From 1992 to 1994 he studied at the National Film and Television School in Beaconsfield English, northwest of London.

In South Africa, he runs a production company.

In 2005 he was for his film Drum during the Pan-African Film Festival ( FESPACO ) in Ouagadougou with the Étalon de Yennenga ( German: " Yennenga stallion" ) awards for the best African film.
