Zoltán Sebescen

Zoltan Sebescen (aka ungar Sebestyen Zoltan, [ Zolta ː n ʃɛbɛʃce ː n]; born October 1, 1975 in Ehingen ) is a former German football player.

Career

Sebescen began in 1982 in the youth of the Stuttgarter Kickers, where he made ​​the jump to the first team in the 1994/95 season. 1999/2000 he moved to the Bundesliga for VfL Wolfsburg. In 2001 he went from Wolfsburg to Bayer 04 Leverkusen. With Bayer, he was in the 2002 final of the Champions League against Real Madrid, was in the 2001/ 02 season runner-up and reached the cup final against FC Schalke 04, in which he, however, was not used.

Due to numerous knee surgeries denied Zoltan Sebescen since 2003 no league game and lost his place. For the club he joined in some games the reserve team to use. 2004 ran out of the contract, whereupon Sebescen left the club. Sebescen declared on 16 August 2005 his career ended. The ongoing knee problems were caused by Lyme disease infection, a disease that can be transmitted through tick bites. National
