Zoltán Szélesi

Zoltán Szélesi [ Zolta ː n se ː lɛʃi ] (born 22 November 1981) is a Hungarian football player.

Career

Szélesi played until 2004 when the Hungarian capital club Újpest FC and played at right-back in four years, over 100 games in the first Hungarian League. Once he took part for the Hungarians and the UEFA Cup.

After he became vice-champion in 2004 and also some games had played in the national team, he decided to a move abroad.

Zoltán Szélesi joined the second division Energie Cottbus. In the second year at the low Lusatians promotion to the 1st Bundesliga, even if it turned out half the season due to a broken metatarsal. After the successful league with Cottbus in the season 2006/ 07 he moved to 2007/ 08 to the French first division side Racing Strasbourg. After two years he returned to his Hungarian homeland and joined Debreceni VSC on. With Debrecen he became a master of the Nemzeti National Championship 2009/10.
